Born in St. Paul Minnesota, she grew up in a suburb of the Twin Cities, and developed a deep love for the theatre after many years attending and performing.
She attended Drake University, and got her BFA in Musical Theatre, which surrounded her with talented professors and peers. In 2017 she took a position with Iowa Stage Theatre Company as one of their Resident Artists. In their inaugural 2017-2018 season she played Rose in the Flick, and Tybalt in their summer Shakespeare production of Romeo and Juliet. She has recently made the move back to the Twin Cities and now resides in Minneapolis where she continues to be a Resident Artist of Iowa Stage Theatre Co. while she furthers her career in Minnesota.
This year Katja will be going on to get her Masters in Acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as a member of their 2019-2020 Classical and Contemporary Text Acting course.
